Max previously held senior appointments as a Clinical Psychologist at a General Hospital in Singapore. He has experience in helping adults with depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorder, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and somatic symptom disorder. He also has a special interest in helping people who have significant difficulties coping with chronic illnesses.

Max is an experienced mindfulness practitioner and has received training in teaching mindfulness from the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. He believes in developing individualised management plans for his patients and draws from a range of therapy modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies and Schema Therapy. He is passionate about honing and broadening his skills and often seeks new avenues of learning.

He has experience in conducting psychological assessments for adults (e.g., WAIS-IV). He has also conducted neuropsychological assessment for persons who have memory impairments and other cognitive difficulties.

Max enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dog. Outside of work, you would often find Max making and drinking coffee, listening to music or reading (probably all three at once). For self-care, he also meditates daily and goes running regularly, a habit he has kept since his Commando days. A former cricket player who has represented Singapore at international sporting events, Max is passionate about sport and psychology.

Max provides therapy in English and Mandarin (Basic).
