Wendy is a Certified Gottman Therapist and the first Asian couple therapists in Singapore to be certified in the Gottman Method. She is a Registered Counsellor (RC) and Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
She provides evidence-based couples therapy in Singapore, working with couples experiencing communication breakdown, recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust issues, and recovery after infidelity.
Wendy provides discernment counselling to couples who are ambivalent and at a cross-roads in their relationship, helping them gain clarity and direction before making major relationship decisions.
Wendy is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and trainer. She supports premarital couples through structured relationship preparation and has extensive experience conducting marriage preparation programmes. She has co-developed and taught modules on communication and conflict resolution, including Principles for Successful Marriage, equipping couples with practical tools to build resilient relationships.
With over twenty years of experience across public, private, and community settings, Wendy works with youths, adults, couples, and families. Her therapeutic work integrates the Gottman Method, the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy, and attachment-informed approaches. She previously practised as a Certified Attachment-Focused Family Therapist in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy.
Wendy is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and applies trauma-informed principles in her work with individuals and couples. She is also a facilitator of Torn Asunder, an affair recovery programme supporting couples rebuilding trust after betrayal. In addition, she has training in TEAM CBT and has conducted numerous parenting workshops for families in Singapore.
Wendy believes that strengthening marriages contributes to stronger families and communities. Her work focuses on equipping couples with evidence-based strategies to improve communication, repair conflict, and deepen emotional connection.
She has many interests including baking, gardening, strength training and lifting. She has two grown-up children, one of whom is married.
Wendy speaks conversational Mandarin and the Hokkien dialect, but is more comfortable in conducting therapy in English.
