Jia Li is a Clinical Psychologist committed to walking alongside individuals on their journey toward healing, resilience, and growth. She holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the National University of Singapore, and is a registered psychologist and approved supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). She has been practicing since 2017.
Over the years, Jia Li has worked across a spectrum of clinical settings—from public hospitals like Khoo Teck Puat Hospital to community-based organisations such as the Community Psychology Hub. Her clinical work spans adolescents to older adults, supporting individuals with a wide range of psychological concerns including (but not limited to) mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, and relationship or adjustment related challenges. She has a special interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma or adverse life events, and is passionate about helping clients cultivate emotional regulation, self-awareness, and confidence. Jia Li has actively collaborated with various multidisciplinary teams and was also involved in mental health education and community outreach initiatives.
Jia Li believes that therapy is a collaborative and transformative journey.
She provides a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, uncover strengths, and build resilience to face life’s challenges. She believes in creating a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space for clients to feel heard and understood where they can grow and heal at a comfortable pace.
As quoted, “True transformation begins within—nurtured by self-love; it empowers us to face vulnerabilities, take purposeful action, accept the inevitable, and cultivate growth and enduring inner peace.”
Jia Li draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, tailoring each therapeutic journey to meet her clients’ unique needs and pace. These approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion-Focused strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches, as well as Mindfulness-based approaches.
In addition to therapy, Jia Li has experience in conducting psychological evaluations across the lifespan. Her work includes psychometric assessments for children (e.g. Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-WISC) and adults/geriatric populations (e.g., Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-WAIS, Continuous Performance Test-CPT, Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status-RBANS). Jia Li also has experience conducting custody evaluations for the Family Justice Courts and Syariah Court of Singapore.
Outside of her professional life, Jia Li enjoys baking and discovering new culinary experiences. She also cherishes quiet moments with loved ones, drawing inspiration and balance from her creative pursuits—practices that mirror the mindfulness and presence she brings to her work.
Jia Li provides therapy in English and Mandarin.
