This support group is for persons who face stress and friction with other family members or loved ones from working and living together during the lockdown
Staying at home can result in vastly different experiences for different people. Imagine trying to squeeze the various areas of your life into your home; it’s overwhelming.
You might have welcomed the chance to work from home during the early Circuit Breaker days, but now struggle to remain productive and worry about job security. Perhaps you appreciate the sanctuary that your house provides during this tumultuous time, but you feel the stress and friction that builds up as you continue to live with each other every day.
Communicating your difficulties to your family is difficult under ordinary circumstances; but worrying about how you might be perceived by the people you love. You may even feel frustrated and guilty.
The COVID-19 Support Groups are a safe and open environment for participants to share their experiences and difficulties with one another. The Support groups will be facilitated by a psychologist who will share her own perspectives and impart useful psychological tools to help us manage the stressors and cope in this new reality.
Physical distancing is not social distancing. Now, more than ever, it is important to find people who can support you despite the physical distance.
