Motivation and Self-care

As stress piles up from the different aspects of our lives, it can be difficult to find the motivation to continue being productive, working hard, or meeting other demands and expectations. We also often forget the importance of leisure and self-care, often neglecting them when they can benefit us the most. This workshop will share the four basic emotional “ABCDs” that drive motivation: Acquire, Bond, Comprehend, and Defend.

We will share skills on adapting and approaching your lifestyle and habits guided by these needs to harness the motivation we need to thrive in our lives. Additionally, the talk will discuss the importance of leisure and self-care on our psychological well-being. The speaker will introduce ways in which you can incorporate self-care into your daily life, debunking the myth that we need to carve out time to do so.
