Support Groups

Members of a support group who share a problem come together to provide help, comfort, and guidance. This is led by a professional who guides the group and assists when required, often answering questions related to the topics. Meetings provide a place to discuss issues directly and indirectly relevant to their problem.


Caregiver Support Group

Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, easily irritated or unmotivated as a caregiver? These are some signs that you may be burning out, or on the brink of it! We know caregiving is stressful and exhausting, but what can you do about it?

This workshop and support group is aimed at caregivers. Important skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassionate techniques will be taught to support your own mental health and relieve the psychological and physical stress you may be feeling constantly from caregiving. Connect with others who are going through similar experiences, and also learn important techniques for you to care for yourselves as well!


Postnatal Support Group

Caring for a newborn can be overwhelming and isolating, especially so during the beginning. This support group is aimed at mothers who are looking to gain support and share their experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Participants will learn skills such as managing expectations of themselves and others, managing pain and sleep, reducing sibling rivalry, and detecting signs of Postnatal Depression and seeking help.

  • Managing expectations with regard to motherhood and caring for a newborn

  • Addressing Mother’s guilt, especially in the presence of another young child

  • Managing pain and sleep

  • Detecting signs of Postnatal Depression and seeking help

  • Practising self-care

  • Promoting sibling interaction and managing sibling rivalry


LGBTQ+ Support Group

The purpose of this group is to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ participants to come together and support one another to explore individual identity in the context of a valuable and meaningful life.
