Overcoming Stress and Friction at Home during COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has upended family life around the world. School closures, working remote and social distancing is a lot to navigate for anyone. Fear, uncertainty, and being holed up at home can make it tough for families to keep a sense of calm. Families are posed with challenges like a lack of physical space, loss of personal space and blurring of boundaries between work and personal life.

Annabelle Psychology has a set of handy tips for you to help manage this new temporary normal. Some tips include practising mindfulness as a family. This entails structuring a routine for the family, scheduling breaks and taking mindful walks. These suggestions help promote a sense of calm and helps us learn to enjoy spending time together and appreciate the presence of each family member.

Our corporate workshop will share strategies grounded in evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, to help you manage any tension and friction you may be having with your family during the pandemic.

Remember, it’s important to take care of your mental health and well-being, particularly during this difficult time. Stay safe at home and check out our COVID-19 resource page for support. Our services are still available if you need additional help. Contact us for more information.
